| ROTC
camo kilts |

|
Edinboro
University of Pennsylvania is home to the Fighting Scots,
so it's not surprising that they host a Highland Games
each Spring. What did surprise me was when a captain with
Edinboro's ROTC called to order three kilts for the "kilted
run!"

| Three
Black Kilts |

|
Three
generations are outfitted in black Pittsburgh Kilts,
thanks to Garner, who ordered kilts for his father and
nephew along with his own.
About the kilts, Garner says, "Your kilts are
very high quality and they lay perfectly. The brushed
beefy bull denim feels wonderful. And will be warm enough
for the semi mild winters we have here in VA."

Two-tone |

Craig
is a professional heavy athlete, ranked in the top 10
in the U.S. As you can probably guess, Craig likes to
stand out in a crowd. Even in a field full of kilted
athletes, it would be hard to miss Craig in his two-tone
Pittsburgh Kilt!
You can visit Craig's
website for more information about Heavy Athletic
completion.

MARPAT Two-tone |

|
"Baghdad
Jay" is on a second tour in Iraq, and wears his
two-tone (Khaki with Desert MARPAT) kilt only when off
duty. (His M-4 rifle, he points out, goes with him on
or off duty).
Jay keeps a fantastic blog,
which is a fascinating and powerful read. If you want
to know what it's like to be in Iraq, forget the news
channels and read Jay's
blog!

John wears
his kilt to work at Glass Reunions, an art glass dealer
in Key West (my first Key West kilt--that excites me!)
After his first day in the kilt, John reported, "The
ladies at work were admiring the quality of the workmanship
and the stitching. One said something like 'Why can't
we find clothes made this well?'"

| Barleyjuicer! |

Jimmy performs
with the band Barleyjuice
in his Advantage Timber kilt (with matching boots, of
course!). "I can't get out of this damned kilt!!!
Since it arrived, it's the ONLY one that I've worn!"
says Jimmy. High praise indeed, since Jimmy is a kilt
maker himself, and something of a legend in certain kilted
circles.

| "Blue
Knights" Royal Blue |

|
As you
can tell by his stoic demeanor, Mark is a police officer.
Okay, even cops need to let their hair down once in
a while. And what better way to do it than in a blue
kilt at a Blue Knights rally? (The Blue Knights is an
international law enforcement motorcycle club.)
Mark also runs the excellent website Kiltday.com. |

| Denim
and Tartan Two-tone |

|
Jamie's denim
and tartan two-tone is the first kilt I shipped to Scotland
(and so we've come full circle...) Jamie (on the left
of the picture) reports he's "been to 4 weddings
this summer both in England & Scotland and have had
loads of interest." In fact, he says there is usually
more interest in the kilt than in the brides' dresses! |
